Make an image A4 print-ready
A4 is a standard paper size used around the world. Preparing a file for A4 printing means thinking about page dimensions, margins and the original image proportions.
A4 dimensions
A4 paper is 210 × 297 mm. Digital workflows may represent that page at different pixel densities, so the physical page size matters more than choosing one universal pixel number.
Keep proportions intact
When placing an image on A4, scale it proportionally instead of stretching it. Add margins when the printer or destination does not support edge-to-edge printing.
Review before printing
Open the generated PDF and check that the page count, orientation and placement are correct. A screen preview cannot always show the exact physical result.
