Prepare a clean signature image
A useful signature file is usually tightly cropped, easy to read and saved in a format accepted by the destination form or portal.
Start with a clear source
A well-lit scan or photograph makes background cleaning and cropping more reliable. Avoid unnecessary shadows where possible.
Remove excess background
White margins around a signature make the file harder to position. Crop the image closely while leaving a small amount of breathing room around the ink.
Choose PNG when transparency matters
PNG is useful when you need the signature without an opaque background. JPEG is often smaller when transparency is not needed.
Keep the original private
Signatures are sensitive documents. FileFix performs its supported signature preparation in the browser rather than requiring the original signature to be uploaded.
